New Water Service Installation Request

New Water Service Installation Request

If you have recently purchased a property lot that has no previous water service, and you are within the GPIWA potable water service area, you are in the right place. Complete and return the  NEW INSTALLATION REQUEST CONTACT FORM (download at bottom of page)  to membershipcoordinator@pineislandwater.com or to GPIWA 5281 Pine Island Rd. Bokeelia, FL 33922.

Please review the Rate Schedule https://pineislandwater.com/rates for new water service meter installation costs.    Fees include:

1.) Association Membership Fee

2.) Meter Fee

3.) Capital Charges

4.) Service Connection Fee

5.) Aid In Construction Fee for certain areas.

New installations require:

1.) Full payment of fees.

2.) Copy of Building Permit.

3.) Site Plans indicating number of units.

4.) Boundary Survey.

GPIWA has different Development processes depending on the location of the property and the type of construction.

The processes are:
1.) Water service meter installation.
2.) Water service line extension.
3.) Water main extension.
4.) Water distribution system design and construction.

1.) WATER SERVICE METER INSTALLATION:
Typically for ONE new single-family residence which already has a watermain or service passing by the front of the property in the associated road or street right of way (ROW).

2.) WATER SERVICE LINE EXTENSION:
Typically for ONE new single-family residence which has a watermain in the vicinity (approximately 150ft) of the property and road or street right of way (ROW) that will allow for extension of the existing line.

3.) WATER MAIN EXTENSION:
Typically for MORE THAN ONE single family residence where there is no watermain in the vicinity, the existing watermain must be resized to accommodate future growth, or no easement allowing the installation of a watermain.

4.) DEVELOPMENT:
Typically for commercial, multifamily, or multiple property development.

If you do not do this for a living (not a developer or engineer) the best place to start this process is by e-mailing your request to membershipcoordinator@pineislandwater.com.  Please include your name, phone number, address, or vicinity of location of interest, whether this is residential or commercial, for one property or multiple properties.  We will reply with the infrastructure we have in that location and help direct you to the appropriate process.

If you do this for a living you can skip the above e-mail and follow the Development process detailed in our Development Handbook which can be viewed in the Downloads below.

PAYMENT OF FEES:

Most new installation fees are paid by check prior to installation.  However, similar to the Bill Pay for your Monthly Water Bills you can pay for your new member fees at the Nexbillpay link.   Nexbillpay charges a convenience fee for their service.
