ABOUT US
Welcome to Greater Pine Island Water Association, Inc. Commonly referred to as GPIWA. GPIWA was founded in 1964 with 495 members and started supplying water to our members in 1967.
Currently we service over 7000 members. GPIWA is a member owned utility company serving the population in the Greater Pine Island area. We are located on Pine Island, Florida (near Ft. Myers/Cape Coral), on the largest island along the Southwest Florida coastline.
We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of nine (9) members of the Association. See the section “Meet the Board” for names and areas represented.
The Association has three divisions. The Administrative Division, Reverse Osmosis Plant Division (RO Plant), & the Distribution Division(Infrastructure & Maintenance).
The main office for GPIWA is 5281 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, Florida 33922.
We are located at the intersection of Pine Island Road (S.R. 78) and Betsy Parkway-just east of Pine Island Center.
Office hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday.
The office is closed on weekends and certain holidays
(President’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day).

We are located 1/2 a mile south from the Winn-Dixie Plaza.
